Asian lettuce wraps
•1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (walnut, sesame or peanut)
•1 pound ground turkey (chicken or beef)
•2 tablespoons minced garlic
•2 tablespoons finely minced ginger
•2/3 cup teriyaki sauce
•Hoisin sauce
•Boston lettuce leaves, rinsed and dried
Vegetables for filling
•Grated carrots
•Mung bean sprouts
•Sliced radish
•Julienned cucumber
Heat oil and brown ground turkey. Add garlic and ginger and saute briefly. Add teriyaki sauce and simmer for 10 minutes while preparing vegetables. Place filling and vegetables in the center of a large platter and surround with lettuce. Serve with hoisin sauce for dipping.
