What makes a Naturopathic Doctor different?
What makes a Naturopathic Doctor different?
I approach health with the intent of optimizing the body’s normal function rather than managing symptoms. As a naturopathic physician, I am educated in the medical sciences including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and pathology. In addition, I have been trained in the use of natural therapies such as herbal extracts, manipulation, nutrition and homeopathy. However, what sets me apart as a physician is not so much the medicines I use, but how I use them. It is my experience that if given the proper environment the body and mind are able to overcome disease and correct imbalances whatever they may be - even in chronic cases. In essence, with my patients I build health rather than treat disease.
In addition to my unique therapeutic approach, I spend time with my patients. I realize that in order to truly understand your situation and discover what factors are contributing to your health I need to listen, ask good questions and develop a relationship of trust. Only then will we begin to reveal the dynamic aspects of your mind, body and spirit that ultimately create your health. Equipped with this deeper understanding and utilizing proven therapies in unique ways, we can find answers to difficult health questions and help you move to a higher state of well being.
